Alluvial Executive Coaching

Introductory Programs

Two focused programmes designed to meet you where you are.

Where to begin

These are focused, structured engagements for leaders who want to explore coaching or address a specific challenge quickly. Each programme is designed to create momentum without demanding a long-term commitment upfront. Introductory offers are available for new clients—a natural place to discover whether our approach is the right fit for you.

Programme One · 4–6 sessions

Sample of OneTM

Alluvial’s Sample of OneTM methodology is a successful coaching program that increases self-awareness in order to respond better to change by reframing difficulties and developing true understanding about how differences are not necessarily blockers nor personal. This can take from 4-6 sessions depending on number of people involved and urgency.

Much of the Sample of OneTM coaching involves taking the coachee on the journey towards depersonalising difficulties with colleagues and their own self-critic and using non-judgmental curiosity to discover optimal solutions.

01

Chemistry & Curiosity

Session 1: Chemistry and curiosity survey and any subsequent scope adjustments.

02

Perspective & Strengths

By Session 2: Discuss scoped issue and the situation from coachee’s perspective. Coachee will be asked to complete a psychometric survey before the meeting to help inform strengths and potential blind spots.

03

External Feedback

If applicable, Session 3: Review and discuss external feedback, if it will be helpful. This may entail feedback sessions between the coach and those providing the feedback.

04

Options Made Visible

Session 4: Review and consciously create a personalised graphic or document of the scoped problem and identified options.

Often the coachee experiences an ‘Ah ha’ moment and that changes their approach.

Programme Two · 2–6 sessions

Grow into SolutionsTM

If the scope and problems are clear and the coachee is experienced with coaching we can begin to address the issue immediately.

Together we will explore solutions with curiosity about ourselves that allows for a non-judgmental acceptance and ability to experiment with how we act and respond, awareness of ours and other’s strengths and a firm understanding of which of our natural ways of working may be interfering with performance at work. This part can take between 2 to 6 sessions depending on complexity and number of people.

Session 1: Chemistry review. At this level it is vital the coachee believes they can work effectively with the coach and understands why the coach has been engaged.

Session 2–6: Clarify the goal, the current reality based on enhanced self-awareness and the time frame. Begin a sometimes iterative process of working through:

  1. What will success look like?
  2. Determine what experiments may be necessary
  3. Work through the results of changes and try again
  4. Reframe the goal with the new information and experience with the coach
  5. Work towards the best performance outcome.

Performance improvement starts with curiosity about oneself and the problem. We discuss the strengths and how curious we are. We discuss the time frame and potential for experimenting with different approaches. We start with a goal but we understand it might change as we enlarge our frame before narrowing to a solution. In the end we have measurable improvements and observable changes.

Between sessions

What to Expect

Within both programs the coachee/team may be given articles and suggested readings or thought exercises to do between sessions. These are not mandatory but coachees may find them helpful. They will be tailored to the specific issue at hand.
